How to Share Your Interviews on LinkedIn

The following is a step-by-step guide for sharing your Prospect Interviews® on LinkedIn.  #ProspectInterviewPromotion

Using the Share Widget on Parkbench:

  1. Click the interview you want to share
  2. Click the orange + icon on the left hand side of your screen
  3. Select the LinkedIn icon
  4. Select where within LinkedIn you want to share it
  5. Write your caption (You'll find a few examples of captions you can write at the end of this article!)
  6. POST!

Note: Once you start using the LinkedIn share option, it will show up as a main option to choose; you will not have to always click the orange + button

Sharing Manually By Creating a Post:

  1. Copy the link to your interview. To do this, highlight the link in the address bar of your web browser and right-click on it. Select "Copy" from the menu that appears.

  2. Go to LinkedIn. If you're not already logged in, you'll need to enter your email address and password to access your account.

  3. Click on the "Start a post" box. This is located at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, and it's where you can create a new post.

  4. Paste the link into the space provided.

  5. Wait for the link preview to load. LinkedIn will automatically generate a preview of the link with the image thumbnail of the video or the Blog image if one was added to the Interview.

  6. Write a caption. (You'll find a few examples of captions you can write at the end of this article!)

  7. Once you've written your caption, you're ready to share the link. Click the "Post" button to make it live on your LinkedIn profile!

Things to think about:

  • LinkedIn is a more professional online space when compared to something like Facebook. Therefore, make your post professional!
  • There’s two places to share your interview on LinkedIn (Tailor your post accordingly):
  • Your Profile
  • LinkedIn Groups (For more information click HERE)

Pro-Tips:

  • Here’s a webinar on how to share your Prospect Interview®
    https://youtu.be/eigsy5Oghk0
  • Engage with your notifications (comments, posts, etc.)
  • If someone comments on an article or video you post, like their comment and reply to it!
  • This will tell LinkedIn that people are engaging more on the piece of content you posted, and put it in front of a wider demographic

Examples of Captions & Call to Actions for Posting Content:

Make sure you connect with your interviewees on ALL social media platforms. There is no reason not to.

In addition, if applicable, tag the interviewee & business in your posts about their interview.

  1. "Super happy and honoured to be able to learn about {BUSINESS NAME}! A great experience. Check out the interview I did with them!"
  2. "Check out the interview I did with {INTERVIEWEE NAME}, {POSITION} over at {BUSINESS NAME}. An amazing experience!"
  3. "There's a reason why living in {YOUR AREA} is amazing. And {BUSINESS / INTERVIEWEE} is one of them! Click below to learn more about why they're the best!"
